Working principle
Firstly, heat the metal raw material in the furnace to a molten state, making it a liquid metal with good fluidity. Then, pour the molten metal into the crucible of the insulation intermediate package, and guide it to the center of the high-speed rotating disk through a flow limiting outlet device. Under the strong centrifugal force generated by high-speed rotation, the molten metal flows rapidly radially towards the edge on the surface of the rotating disk and forms a thin liquid film 6. When the liquid film reaches the edge of the rotating disc, it will be broken and atomized into small droplets by the centrifugal force of high-speed rotation. Finally, these droplets rapidly cool and solidify upon contact with the surrounding cooling medium (such as inert gas), forming spherical or nearly spherical metal powder particles.
Structural composition
Melting system: including furnace and temperature control system, etc. The furnace generally adopts high-frequency induction furnace, which can quickly heat the metal raw materials to the required melting temperature. The temperature control system can accurately control the temperature to ensure the quality and stability of the metal liquid.
High speed centrifugal atomization system
Rotating disk: It is the core component, usually made of high-strength, high temperature resistant, and corrosion-resistant alloy materials such as molybdenum, tungsten, and other alloys. The surface accuracy and structural design of the rotating disk have a significant impact on the atomization effect. Some rotating disks have uniformly distributed holes on the side and micron sized molybdenum mesh, which can make the metal liquid atomization more uniform and control the particle size.
Drive device: composed of high-performance motor, high-speed shaft, and bearings. The motor drives the turntable to rotate at high speed through the high-speed shaft, and the speed can usually reach tens of thousands of revolutions per minute or even higher.
Cooling and collection system: The cooling system generally uses inert gas cooling, and circular cooling gas nozzles are set around the atomization area to spray high-pressure inert gas onto the atomized metal droplets, rapidly cooling and solidifying the droplets. The collection system consists of powder collectors, cyclone separators, filters, etc., used for collecting and separating metal powders.
Control system: Real time monitoring and feedback of operating parameters of various parts, such as temperature, speed, gas flow, etc., through sensors. Operators can accurately set and adjust these parameters through the control panel to ensure stable equipment operation and product quality.
Performance characteristics
Particle size and shape can be controlled: By adjusting parameters such as the rotation speed of the rotating disk, the flow rate of the metal liquid, and the cooling conditions, the particle size distribution of the metal powder can be accurately controlled. Different particle sizes ranging from tens of micrometers to hundreds of micrometers can be prepared, and the particle shape is mostly spherical or nearly spherical, with good flowability and filling properties.
High powder quality: Atomization under inert gas protection can effectively prevent metal oxidation and impurity mixing. The prepared metal powder has high purity, low oxygen content, and uniform chemical composition, which can meet the strict requirements for material properties in high-end application fields.
High production efficiency: capable of continuous and stable atomization production, with high production efficiency, meeting the needs of large-scale industrial production. Compared with other atomization methods, the rotary disc centrifugal atomization equipment can produce more metal powder in the same time.
Wide applicability: It can handle a variety of metals and alloy materials, including common metals such as aluminum, copper, zinc, titanium, nickel, as well as various complex alloy systems, suitable for the needs of different industries for metal powders.
